Waltham Forest Catering were announced FINALISTS in Best Education Caterer for the Public Sector Awards. The shortlist was announced on Friday 8 March 2024.

The 2024 Public Sector Awards took place on Thursday 4 April 2024.

Finalist of the Pride of Waltham Forest Staff Awards

The LACA awards 2023 shortlist saw Waltham Forest Catering shortlisted for three awards; Catering Business of the Year, Primary School Catering Team of the Year and The Marketing Award.

Reaching a School Plates Gold Award is an exceptional achievement, and shows an incredible commitment from the whole catering team to delivering excellence in health and sustainability through the promotion of plant-based food and reduction of meat on the school menu. To reach Gold, a caterer has to demonstrate a balanced range of plant-based, planet-friendly dishes to appeal to both children and their carers or parents, both now, and in the future as they establish healthy patterns of eating and positive food choices. In addition, the presentation, labelling and descriptions of these dishes need to be inviting, and to highlight the most planet-healthy dishes on the menu.

We were finalists in the 2023 Public Sector Awards for Contract Caterer of the Year Award!

Since 2007, the Good Egg Award has worked by recognising and celebrating the achievements of making tangible improvements to the welfare of the animals reared for food in their supply chains.

Local Authority Catering Association announced shortlisted nominees for 2022 Awards for Excellence. Waltham Forest Catering has been nominated for the LACA Marketing and Green Menu Award. Announcement 7 July 2022.

Andrea Moore Catering Manager at Emmanuel School has been awarded the Unsung Hero Award at the the Public Sector Catering Awards 2022.

This is a great honour and recognises all the hard work Andrea takes on throughout the year with her creative themed food events.

Local Authority Catering Association has unveiled the nominated finalists across several categories for the Awards for Excellence which seek to recognise individuals and teams who continue to make a real difference in education catering. Andrea Moore from Emmanuelle School is up for the LACA Unsung Hero Award. Fingers crossed for Award night 7 July 2022

We topped the UK Greenest School Menu League. Our school dinners are the greenest in the UK serving up one million plant-based school meals a year across 50 primary schools with weekly ‘Save the Planet’ days and plant-based dishes such as smoky jack fruit Jambalaya and veg stir fry with Garlic and Ginger.
